Conference Day 2

It's the end of Day 2 of the Peer Facilitator Training Conference, and we're pretty exhausted.  It's been a great day - but very long.  We've learned about setting up a support group, group guidelines, and how to deal with challenges within your group.  I've met some amazing women and have been inspired by their strength.  35 ladies who are all Breast Cancer previvors or survivors, and are all volunteering to help other women.  The desire to help, to comfort, to support, to empower - it's pretty amazing.  And I don't throw around all this touchy-feely stuff lightly.

It's kind of similar to women's entrepreneur group meetings I've attended - if you ever want to get something done, put a bunch of committed, powerful, strong women in one room, and wait for the sparks to fly.

Seriously, awe-inspiring.

But, also very tiring.  My brain is tired.  So now Ansley and I are watching trash TV and drinking wine.  Tomorrow there are morning sessions, and then we head home in the afternoon.  Ian's going to be at a Superbowl party at someone else's place, and I'm really looking forward to having the house to myself for some quiet time.
