Merry Christmas!

I had my surgery 6 weeks ago today, and I'm happy to say that I'm fully recovered.  I met with Dr. Hofer yesterday and got the "green light" to (slowly) go back to everything I used to do before, including exercising.  YES!  My arms, shoulders, and upper back have been ignored for a month and a half, and seriously hurt.  Stretching and strengthening will get them back into shape in no time.

I am THRILLED with the results of my fat transplant.  My scars are healing well, and my foobies look amazing.  I go in to "get nipples" in 3 months, and then tattooing after that - Dr. Hofer says that once that's all done, my scars will be covered, and there will be no sign of surgery.  Well, except for the 21-inch long scar across my abdomen.  But hey, who cares.

Today Ian, Isabel, and I are heading out to Burlington for Christmas at Dad's house.  I'm looking forward to relaxing with family.  And then next week, on December 29, we're all flying to San Francisco and Napa for 6 days of fun.  Thanks Santa Dad and Santa Jan!

I have so much to be thankful for, and so much to look forward to.  Not the least of which is a life without having to worry about breast cancer.  No more checkups, no more mammograms, no more MRIs, no more worrying.  This sounds so corny, but honestly... that's the best Christmas present ever.
